The Amherst Skating Club offers the LEARN TO SKATE USA Basic Skills program, providing group instruction to over 800 enrollees annually. We hold classes in basic skating skills, figure skating, hockey skating skills, pre-school and adult/teen only classes. All classes are scheduled at the Northtown Center at Amherst. A ten-week session is held in the fall and winter, an 8-week session in the spring and a 6-week session in the summer. Each spring we host the ASC Basic Skills Competition, which is open to all ASC Learn to Skate students. In December, we host the annual Learn to Skate Holiday party, a free event open to all our skaters and their families.
